Maine is spectacular in the fall when the entire state erupts in vivid shades of red, orange and yellow. But fall colors aren’t the only reason to visit Maine in autumn. Maine is also the land of delicious butter-soaked lobster rolls and the living postcard of lighthouses dotting a rocky coastline and blueberry patches. There is more than one way to enjoy Maine fall foliage. Today on my blog I’m going to share with you some useful tips to plan your perfect Maine fall getaway. Link in bio 🔝🔝🔝

It’s the way fall should be! 🍂 .
There is no place quite like the coast of Maine in fall. The trees lining coastal Route 1 turn vibrant shades of burnt orange and gold. That’s why fall is Mainers’ preferred time of year to go camping ⛺️ .

Foliage photography tip: rainy days are the perfect time to photograph foliage! First, there is no crowd. The rain also enhances the color saturation of the leaves and transforms the roads into glistening reflected murals! So when it starts to rain during your leaf 🍁 peeping trips, don’t be disappointed; instead head out to take good pictures of that magical foliage! .
And of course to protect my cameras and lenses from the rain, snow, drop, bump, or accident I always bring @mymegagear camera messenger bag on my adventures. This all-purpose, vintage camera bag is both stylish (see how it goes so well with my boots) and versatile (fit 1 camera, 1-2 extra lenses, and small personal items) .

Autumn magic in Acadia National Park!!! 🍂🍂🍁🍁
The forecast called for cloudy skies and heavy rains but we decided to visit the park anyway. And we were so fortunate to witness the most beautiful foliage: bold reds, striking oranges,...and avoid crowds!!! No one was at the park but us! It can be challenging to time your visit just right; but early to mid October to visit Acadia National Park is a safe bet for the vibrant colors you expect from New England fall. #visitmaine @visitmaine #ad

Located one block from the waterfront in Portland's Old Port District, Fore Street restaurant looks like it’s right out of a magazine from the 1970s - brick walls, steel-framed windows, and soapstone hearth consisting of a wood-burning oven,...This is one of our favorite places to eat in Portland #visitmaine @visitmaine #ad
Thank you @gretarybus for this beautiful shot! 💕

Fall is a wonderful time to visit Maine. It’s a time when the air gets crisp and most of the state lights up with brilliant colors of red, yellow, and orange. Fall foliage peak times begin in late September and end around the last week of October. Go ahead and plan your leaf 🍁 peeping trip in Maine! #visitmaine @visitmaine #ad
Los Cabos Mexico

Los Cabos

Los Cabos refers to a trio of communities — Cabo San Lucas, which has a livelier vibe next to the main marina, San Jose del Cabo, a small, charming town chock-full of art galleries and restaurants, and the Corridor, a 20-mile strip filled with resorts and housing communities.

Italy Venice

For us Venice is a dream come true. Every corner you turn, you walk deeper into some real-life watercolor painting that a camera can never do justice. It’s a maze of canals and small streets, whimsical bridges, and colorful buildings. We were swept away by romantic Venice!

Italy Rome

“Ideally, you visit Rome slowly. You sit, you stroll, you take it slow and as it comes. You don’t go to see stuff, you let it slip up on you — one piazza, one fountain, one amazing structure at a time. That would be the best-case scenario.”

Planning our Wedding: Winter Theme

We had our wedding in December and we love Christmas so why not combine the two and have a sumptuous Christmas themed wedding?

I incorporated white and red colors into the theme. I like a little sparkle so I use glittered snow ornaments as place card holders.

How to Plan a Couple’s Shower

Instead of a traditional bridal shower, we thought it’s more fun to throw a couple’s wedding shower since Derek and I rarely do things apart.

Compared to weddings past, grooms today are more involved in the wedding process, which means wedding showers aren’t just for brides anymore.
